Adult Beginners Theory Sessions

If you are interested in having a go at sailing, maybe crewing, maybe you have been afloat with someone else and didnt really know what was going on, or even if you just want to understand what the rest of the family are talking about in the bar .. then these 2 informational classroom sessions are just for you.

The idea is that before you even get your feet wet .. we can teach you the basics .. How a sail works, The parts of a boat, What the ropes are called, the difference between a Reach and a Run, how you rig a boat, where you sit, how you hold the tiller ..and so on.

These session assume absolutely no knowledge at all and will not teach you how to sail... but they will get you to the point where you know how things work around a boat .. then if you do decide you want to take the plunge (Sorry !!) and do some crewing, or book yourself onto a full "learn how to sail" course .. you will have a much better understanding of what you are being taught and will progress much faster... and of course the rest of the family wont be able to bamboozle you with technical terms any more.
