Standard Operating Procedures
Our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) detail how we manage and deliver training within TISC. In some areas, such as safety or adherence to RYA policy, they are prescriptive and must be followed at all times when we deliver training. In other areas they are guidelines which the course senior instructor should follow but can exercise judgment and adapt to the circumstances of the day.
Prior to delivering training all instructors must read the overarching SOPs and all those that apply to the activities they are delivering, then sign to say they have read, understand and will follow the SOPs. That instructors have signed SOPs will also be tracked within Sailing Club Manager.
A printed copy of the SOPs is kept on the shelf in the race office. This is the copy that contains the signature sheet.
If you spot any mistakes or have suggestions for improvement please e-mail them to rc.training@tisc.org.uk
