Talk Night with Sarah Cray The other side to Ceremonial Events in London
Published 14:30 on 25 Feb 2024
Sarah Cray as well as being our previous club Commodore is a military liaison officer who works with all the many civilian organisations that enable the ceremonial events in London to happen. She works with organisations such as the GLA, Royal Parks, emergency services, transport, DCMS and many more. They are responsible for making sure the event is delivered safely and securely whilst London District, the military headquarters in London, organises and delivers the ceremonial aspects.
Sarah was carrying out this role during the time of both the late Queen Elizabeth II funeral and the Coronation of HRH King Charles.
Her talk will give an overview on how these events are run and managed, and some of the things that happen behind the scenes.
This should prove to be a very interesting and enlightening talk which should not be missed.
