Car Passes
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR SERVICE PERSONNEL & MoD CIVILIANS who are members of the Club.
Club members who have HM Forces or MoD civilian identity cards are required to follow the procedures set out below (unless on duty and visiting the Island in an official capacity).
The Club regularly produces an up-to-date list of Club primary members and spouses for the Security Staff
DAILY PASSES: daily passes are issued at the Guard Post and to obtain one you should: -
- Pull up to the barrier
- Present your TISC pass and Photo ID.
-At any time adult passengers ( 18 or over ) may be asked for proof of identity.)
- You will be issued with a temporary pass which must be displayed on your dashboard (with your details uppermost).
- On leaving the station please hand in your temporary pass to the sentry at the barrier.
- If you will be away cruising for longer than a day, this information must be given to the staff at the Gate Post, together with the anticipated date of your return. If uncertain about the date of your return, please give a date beyond that on which you expect to return to ensure that there are no cars parked on the station displaying expired passes. Your anticipated return date will be written on the Temporary Pass which must then be prominently displayed on the dashboard of your car.
GUESTS: If you wish to bring personal guests to the Sailing Club, rules apply to both signing in visitors to the Club (see Club Byelaws under Members' Documents) as well as security regulations for access to the station.
You must park up in the lay-by next to the Guard Post Office and you and your guest(s) will need to check in with the Gate Post staff for the guest to complete the Temporary Pass while you vouch for them.
NB: there is NO requirement to notify the Station Staff Office in advance in order to bring a personal guest onto the Island. Your guest(s) MUST bring *photo ID with them as they may be asked to show this
