Cruisers Supper + Have Your Say!
Help shape the future of cruising at TISC!
Whether you're a regular on our club rallies, an occasional participant, or someone who has a mooring but has never joined us on a rally, we'd really like you to come along.
We have around 45 club moorings, yet relatively few mooring holders regularly take part in our cruising activities. We'd like to understand why – and, more importantly, what we could do differently to encourage greater participation.
This is your opportunity to have your say about the future direction of the cruising section, including:
- Our rally programme – Where would you like to go? What sort of events would encourage you to take part? Is there anything that puts you off joining in?
- Moorings and allocations – Your views on how club moorings are allocated, how waiting lists operate, and how we could make the process fairer and more transparent.
- The cruising community – What else could we do to make cruising at TISC more enjoyable, welcoming and inclusive?
We're particularly keen to hear from those who don't normally attend rallies. We're not looking for excuses or explanations - we'd simply like to hear your ideas and understand what might encourage you to get involved. And, of course, it's also an opportunity for a good evening out! Gary has kindly offered to prepare a three-course supper:
-
Homemade Smoked Mackerel Pate. (or Mushroom Pate)
followed by
Homemade lasagne with salad
followed by
Homemade chocolate mousse
Three courses for just £8 per person.
The bar will be open, and we'll mix up the seating between courses, giving everyone a chance to meet other cruiser members, exchange ideas and perhaps find some new sailing companions.
There won't be any long speeches or formal meetings - just good food, good company and an opportunity to help shape what we do next.
Whether you join every rally or have never attended one, your views matter. Come along and help us make the cruising section work better for everyone.
