Working Weekend
I am organising a working weekend for the 30th and 31st of October for some general external club and grounds maintenance, to include the dinghy park.
Although you only need volunteer for one, you are free to do both days should you wish, each will count as a working duty if you have not had the opportunity of completing a sailing duty during the season, or if you would just like to support your club and make the place look tidier again.
09:00 to 16:00 both days.
Don't forget, if you have any scrap wood you can bring it with you ahead of the bonfire the following week.
I will need the following please.
A team leader for each day
Some strimmers, (please only apply if you have your own petrol strimmer or brush cutter and associated PPE)
A leaf blower (as above, if you have one of these)
Six able bodied people per day for the following
Cleaning, hosing and scrubbing the club
Weeding and hoeing
Raking, clearing, shovelling and barrowing
Painters (external) weather permitting
Strong and Heroic boat movers
To Volunteer, please email me (houseman@tisc.org.uk )stating which day you can attend and what you are best suited to. You will need come suitable attired for the tasks at hand and bring a packed lunch for the mandatory lunch break. Its good honest back breaking work that will give you a warm glow inside, if not from the pride, then the exertion.
