14 Years Cruising the Med
In 2003 Dick and Ann Brodie set off for Northern Spain, and succeeded at this, their third attempt! Having got there they decided to continue south along the Atlantic coast of Spain and Portugal and then entered the Med, where they have cruised ever since.
This talk will cover their boat and the modifications made to cope with long term cruising, and where they have been. This will cover France (including Corsica), mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands, Portugal, Italy (including Elba and Sardinia), Greece, Albania, Slovenia and Croatia, where the boat now lies ashore.
A fantastic experience, and within anyone's easy reach even in an elderly small boat. No Caribbean hurricanes or Arctic icebergs, but plenty of pleasure and excitement in the Med which is not as benign as the travel brochures show.
Come along and learn from their numerous mistakes and wonderful experiences, and enjoy an American Supper.
