RYA Multihull Level 1 & 2

This is a RYA sailing course explicitly for members wanting to learn to sail a multihull. The course will start with the Level 1 (Start Sailing) syllabus, but if the students have plenty of monohull sailing experience then we can move straight to the Level 2 (Basic Skills) course. Course details and syllabus are on the RYA website for Level 1 and Level 2.

This course will be delivered using the AISTC Dart 16 of which there is only one, so so places are limited to just two students. The course is 16 hours of instruction (mostly practical with some theory) so takes two full days. The RYA does not specify a minimum age but recommends that students under 16 consider the youth scheme instead. This course is therefore aimed at our TISC adult members.

The course clashes with the first On The Water session of the season, for which the plan is that the adult course will be run as one of the OTW groups. Avoiding collisions with hordes of junior sailors is a good skill for sailors at all levels!
