Dinghy Prize Giving

The Dinghy prize giving is on Thusday 9th May at 7pm. The evening will be on the american supper arrangement again. Will those with surnames a-j bring a savory and those k-z bring a sweet.

This years dinghy prizegiving will have a definite gambling theme. In between short breaks for the annual distribution of trophies to the people who have, through their sterling efforts last year, earned the right to hold them for the next 12 months .. and a further break to fill our plates with the goodies you all bring along with you (it is an American supper so don't forget to bring a plate of food)…. the main event will be a series of filmed horse races upon which you can wager your ill gotten gains and see if you are a good guesser/punter or not. But of course being a Dinghy event we wont run this in the normal way with money .. but for points.

You will need to bring some gambling money with you as we will play in teams and each team will have to pay an entry fee of £5 for their betting slips (min 4 in a team)… but with the huge winnings on offer at the end of the night, Im sure you will agree that this just an investment.

As usual on these type of events .. time is tight. And the first race will be off at 7:30pm .. so if you want to be in with a chance of winning the "life changing" top prize .. you will need to be ready to race before then so a 7pm arrival is strongly advised.
