Cruiser Rally to Beaulieu (Bucklers Hard)

The number 1 new rally voted for on the WhatsApp poll was to Beaulieu! - so here it is!. We very much look forward to seeing as many of you as possible. We will have a DIY BBQ in the marquee on the first evening and free time the following day to do your own thing, either separately or in groups. The ECA will also be rallying to Beaulieu at the same time so it will be a good opportunity to meet up with other local sailors as well.

Bucklers Hard Facilities
We will all be staying at Bucklers Hard Marina which has an area dedicated for rallies, see Bucklers Hard Layout. (Wi-Fi and electric included). The visitors rates can be found here: Visitor Rates for Berthing, and as a rally we get a 10% reduction if yachts are rafted together.

Format of Rally
Fri 6th Sept: Those who are departing from TISC will depart at times of your choice. It is about 25nm to Bucklers Hard. You will get tidal assistance from Chichester Bar to the river entrance but might be facing the river at ebb as HW Beaulieu is around 14:00. When approaching Bucklers Hard Marina call Beaulieu River Radio on Channel 68 for berthing instructions. (Live Tidal data for Beaulieu can be found here)

For those who would like to support the local fisherman and sample the days local catch we are expected by the River Kitchen pop-up 'restaurant' at the marina, serving between 18:00 and 21:00. There is no need to pre-order but they would like an indication of numbers in advance. If you wish to partake then please select the number that will be eating from the drop-down when making the yacht booking on the TISC web site (or this can be edited if already booked.

They cook whatever has been caught that day and serve in takeaway boxes. There's also a pop-up bar that will be open (or you can bring your own drinks). We have not booked the marquee but if it has not been exclusively reserved we will have access on the day and there is seating around the bar area too.

Sat 7th Sept: will be doing as you please. Some will want to walk, We have a treasure hunt for those interested!.

Saturday Lunch 12:30 : We have tables reserved at the Master Builder's. There's no need to pre-order but they would like to know numbers in advance. If you wish to have lunch at the master Builder then please book a ticket and indicate how many will be eating. There will be a deposit required of £5-10 which the TISC will pay on your behalf and depending on how the deposit is handled when settling the balance, you may need to pay this back in cash. (We have cancelled this booking as it was getting ridiculously expensive, and they then wanted 25% payment and orders up front from a menu.)

Saturday afternoon: Lawn games on the grassy hard from 17:00 organised by the ECA!. Be prepared for fierce competition and lots of cheating.

Saturday Evening: The BBQ by the marquee is booked please bring your own food. The on-site bar will also be open (or bring your own).

We will have a self help BBQ at 1930 (bring your own food to cook and whatever you want to drink.)

Sun 8th Sept: Depart, AM - LW Portsmouth is 08:09 (1.2m), HW Portsmouth is 15:18 (4.4m).

To book onto the rally please:

1. Click on the 'book' button below and enter the details requested. You will receive an immediate email to acknowledge the booking and then a second email within a couple of days to confirm the booking. (Book tickets for Dinner at River Kitchen at the same time)
2. Please contact Bucklers Hard to pay for your boat in full at least 7 days prior to the rally to qualify for a 10% discount.
