Force Atlantic 21 Army Rowing Team Talk 7^th April

Our third talk of the year is by Laura Barrigan a member of the World Record breaking mixed Army Rowing team Force Atlantic 21.The team have just finished taking part in the 3000 mile Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, rowing from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua. They managed to complete the race in the incredible time of 40 days 23 hours and 57 minutes in a 8.5m long rowing boat, setting a new world record time for a mixed crew.

This is a great opportunity to hear first-hand about the planning, training and both the physical and mental challenges they faced whilst completing such a gruelling race.

A talk that promises to be both extremely interesting and fascinating and certainly not one you should miss.

The bar will open at 18:00 with the talk commencing at 19:15. This event will again be followed by an American Supper. For the supper those with surnames beginning with L-Z are requested to bring a savoury and the rest a desert.
