Club Dinghy Shakedown

Our bosun team do an amazing job at maintaining our ever growing fleet and fixing problems, but they can only fix what they know about.

The aim of this shakedown is to fully rig all the club dinghies and hunt for problems, which we will diligently note down and report back to the bosun. The plan is to not only look for immediate problems but also assess the general state of the boats and identify what we think will need attention or replacement in the near future.

We will also endeavour to ensure consistency in rigging ideally every dinghy within a class will be rigged identically. If we can find the bodge fixes that have been applied over the years we can try to rectify them.

If you have reasonable knowledge of how the club dinghies should be rigged (which is not the same as how they sometimes are rigged), and can spare a few hours to help, please sign up.
