Assistant Instructor Course Cancelled

Dinghy Assistant Instructor course, being run by Bern Whishaw.

This course is for experienced sailors who have done one of the RYA advanced modules. It allows the person to teach up to Sailing Scheme Level 2 or Youth Sailing Scheme Stage 3 under the supervision of a Senior Instructor. The minimum age for the course is 15.

This is a 2 day course, 0900 to 1700 on both days, covering basic teaching principles, centre procedures and specific training in any unfamiliar equipment. Candidates will be assessed on their teaching ability with beginners.

The cost of the ourse will be £100. To book a place on the course you need to be logged on to the club website.

This is a centre-specific certificate, awarded by the training centre and valid for five years. In other words only usable at TISC.

It is expected that anyone attending the coursse will assist with Junior Week.
