What do I need to bring?
You will obviously need either a tent or a caravan to stay in and a boat to join in the activities. You will also need food for the weekend – there will be an additional fridge available in the workshop.
Tea, coffee and milk will be provided. The BBQ will be lit both nights for you to cook your own food and the bar will be open in the evenings. There are bound to be treats to toast over the fire pit. A sunny weekend with a warm southerly breeze has been booked so sun cream is advised! As the local mosquitoes can be pretty feisty in the evening insect repellent is also recommended. We will look to provide some evening activities for both the adults and children, this could be in the form of a quiz and children’s films – to be confirmed.
We will take advantage of every opportunity to get out onto the water over the weekend. The harbour ‘Escapade’ on Saturday will take in the sights of Chichester Harbour. You will be under your own steam but we will be in company with boats with engines so we will be able to ‘self-help’ if required. The club dinghies are available on the Saturday and can be booked through the website on a first-come first-served basis. On the Sunday David Goodman will allocate club boats as required during the On The Water session.
Just a reminder that Children remain parents’ responsibility throughout the weekend.
Hope to see you there!
